Basilisk Anime Series

Iga Ninja (left to right, top to bottom) Nenki...Image via Wikipedia
The story is about a man called Gennosuke and a woman called Oboro who deeply love each other but fate pulled them apart. They belong in two different Ninja clans, the Iga and the Kouga who are sworn enemies. The Basilisk anime series, beautifully unveils their story and along the way it shows you the tremendous fights of these two Ninja clans.
At the beginning of the story the two clans were in a state of truce and hoped that maybe one day they could live together peacefully. This ended when Ieyasu, who was the shogun at that time, gave to the Iga and the Kouga a reason to fight till death. In order to decide who of his two sons will be the next shogun he told the Iga and the Kouga to make two teams of their best 10 Ninjas, each team representing one of his sons. The son who was represented by the team who managed to survive at the end would be the next shogun. Gennosuke and Oboro will then find them self's opponents in a battle which is not about love but about survivor! Who will be the one to survive at the end and what will happen with Gennosuke's and Oboro's love? Is their love enough to stop this madness?
Basilisk not only contains some amazing battles between the Ninjas of the two clans but also strong emotion and a surprising story line. The difference in basilisk is that the fights between the two clans are like a game of chess. 10 pawns each with a different ability that might be useful against one and not useful at all against another. Almost in every episode you get one of the characters to die and you hope that is not your favourite one. Although Basilisk is 24 episodes you will find your self attached with a number of characters.
Basilisk as an anime production is one of the best we have seen. The graphics are so good (as good as Bleach in my humble opinion) and the characters are so beautiful that it was very hard for us to decide which screen captures we would leave behind for every episode summary in our website www.basiliskanime.com [http://www.basiliskanime.com]. We also could not find any major mistakes and no plot holes. The soundtrack is surprisingly good with a great opening song. Voice acting could be better in English but is superb in Japanese. No surprise why you cannot find a review of basilisk that gives basilisk below 8!
You can visit our site Basilisk Anime [http://www.basiliskanime.com] site and read about the summaries of all the episodes and descriptions for the characters. We did this website out of respect for this great release! Definitely one of the top 5 anime out there in terms of storyline, graphics and soundtrack.

Why is Anime Addicting

Face of Wikipe-tanImage via Wikipedia
Does it surprise you that there are so many people who make animation the center of their lives? Just as cigarettes and alcohol can be addicting, anime can be addicting too. People who are addicted to anime, however, are termed as otaku, or animation addicts to be exact. There are people who do nothing all day but watch & think about anime, theorize & collects anime products, squeal about anime, and dream about it as well Well, that's not really the truth and they still do a lot of stuff that are not related to anime, but I think you get the point. They are totally and undeniably addicted to anime and who can blame them? Anime is just about one of the most addicting things in the world. But what makes it so addicting?
As a self-confessed animation addict, I'll have to say that there are several reasons why anime is so addicting for many people.
Characters
The first, and probably the most compelling reason of all, is the sheer beauty by which the makers create their characters. Out of all cartoons in the world, it is only in Japanese anime that I have seen such well rounded and realistic characters that are so distinctly human. Anime does not delude the viewers into thinking that someone can be perfect. The heroes and heroines in anime, beautiful as they may be, have their own flaws and insecurities. They're not like the princesses in the cartoon fairy tales who are epitomes of grace and goodness, and are thereby incredibly flat and drab. Anime heroes and heroines are human, and their humanity makes them all the more interesting.
Also, because they each have their own personalities, we're sure to find at least one character in every show with whom we can relate with and empathize with. And this is one of the biggest reasons why we get hooked in anime versus American cartoons because we're always trying to find out what's going to happen with our favorite characters.
Plots
The plots in anime are just as much reason to get addicted as the characters themselves. Anime Series are almost always gifted with great plots. The plots are seldom ever watered down to suit the audience, thus never undermining the intelligence of the viewers as some of the other cartoon series do. They anime makers can dish out the most elaborate plots and never worry whether anyone will understand whether they will be understood or not - after all, anime is not simply a franchise, it's a form of art, and if people don't understand it today. Then maybe the people of tomorrow will.
Anime plots are always suffused with a sufficient amount of suspense, drama, intrigue, politics, and enough twists and turns to leave your jaw hanging. And not only that, they're usually deep and always have a lesson attached to them.
Animation
Okay, let's not deny it. Part of the reason why we watch anime is because it simply looks amazing. Although they are in 2D format, sometimes they are drawn even better then the ones that are created in 3D. Those overly large eyes, those gravity defying hairstyles, those weirder than weird clothes; they're simply perfect and enough to make anyone keep coming back for more. The artistic amazement is just none stop however you look at it.  Watch Anime online at Voosee TV
