Tenjo Tenge Manga

Demon Exorcist Souichiro.Image via Wikipedia
Tenjo Tenge is a Japanese Anime and Manga series written by Ogure Ito, also referred to as "Oh Great!", "The Creator" or "Air Gear".
Tenjo Tenge in the story of Souichiro Nagi and Bob Makihara as they enroll in the Todo Academy, a martial arts school where Mitsoumi Takayanagi is the president, with the aim of taking it over. When they realize that the school houses some powerful fighters and cannot be taken over, they join the Juukenbu club, captained by Maya Natsume.
The Tenjou Tenge series focuses on the battle between the Juukenbo club and Mitsoumi Takayanagi, who had murdered Maya Natsume's older brother, Shin Natsume, three years previously.
The Story of Shin Natsume
The story of Shin Natsume, Maya's brother, is told as a flashback over 6 episodes as Maya attempts to explain the history to the newcomers. This is to ensure that viewers and readers have a back story to reference to, as both the Anime and Manga frequently refer to the past.
The anime series continues until just before the "Imperial Arts Tournament", which is hosted by the Todo Academy and where also decide who will be the "President" of the school. The manga series however, continues on well after this.
The manga series show how Mitsoumi recognizes the threat of Souichiro Nagi's power, the ability to take over someone's power during battle, and he then sends fighters against Souichiri. It is only during one of these fights that Souichiro discovers he actually has this special power but that he cannot control it. Souichiro ends up in hospital after the fight with temporary loss of control of his left leg.
The Natsume Sisters
Aya, Maya's sister, falls in love with Souichiro during the first episode, and uses her power, the ability to see into the past or future or see things hundreds of miles away, by spying on him. In the 5th episode, her power is shown for the first time, and it is reavealed that she is probably the strongest fighter of them all, though the only reason she fights is because she wants to become stronger for Souichiro.
The Story in Short
In Tenjo Tenge the main characters such as Maya and Souichiro, have "special" powers, which generally differ from fighter to fighter. It is discovered later in the series, however, that Souichiro has the ability to "take" someone's power after fighting them, and he actually is supposed to become a "demon" in order to defeat them.
After the Imperial Arts tournament, the Manga also follows Souhaku, Souichiro's father, who had discovered a way to live forever, and has been alive since the feudal ages. Souichiro is kidnapped by Souhaka, and forced to fight ever stronger warriors in order to become a monster.
Tenjo Tenge, also known as Tenjou Tenge or Tenjou Tenghe, is a truly fascinating and entertaining series that plays off in modern day Japan.
Japanese Anime and Manga is also one of the fastest growing entertainment forms in the World and is available both in print and online.

Why is Anime Addicting

Face of Wikipe-tanImage via Wikipedia
Does it surprise you that there are so many people who make animation the center of their lives? Just as cigarettes and alcohol can be addicting, anime can be addicting too. People who are addicted to anime, however, are termed as otaku, or animation addicts to be exact. There are people who do nothing all day but watch & think about anime, theorize & collects anime products, squeal about anime, and dream about it as well Well, that's not really the truth and they still do a lot of stuff that are not related to anime, but I think you get the point. They are totally and undeniably addicted to anime and who can blame them? Anime is just about one of the most addicting things in the world. But what makes it so addicting?
As a self-confessed animation addict, I'll have to say that there are several reasons why anime is so addicting for many people.
Characters
The first, and probably the most compelling reason of all, is the sheer beauty by which the makers create their characters. Out of all cartoons in the world, it is only in Japanese anime that I have seen such well rounded and realistic characters that are so distinctly human. Anime does not delude the viewers into thinking that someone can be perfect. The heroes and heroines in anime, beautiful as they may be, have their own flaws and insecurities. They're not like the princesses in the cartoon fairy tales who are epitomes of grace and goodness, and are thereby incredibly flat and drab. Anime heroes and heroines are human, and their humanity makes them all the more interesting.
Also, because they each have their own personalities, we're sure to find at least one character in every show with whom we can relate with and empathize with. And this is one of the biggest reasons why we get hooked in anime versus American cartoons because we're always trying to find out what's going to happen with our favorite characters.
Plots
The plots in anime are just as much reason to get addicted as the characters themselves. Anime Series are almost always gifted with great plots. The plots are seldom ever watered down to suit the audience, thus never undermining the intelligence of the viewers as some of the other cartoon series do. They anime makers can dish out the most elaborate plots and never worry whether anyone will understand whether they will be understood or not - after all, anime is not simply a franchise, it's a form of art, and if people don't understand it today. Then maybe the people of tomorrow will.
Anime plots are always suffused with a sufficient amount of suspense, drama, intrigue, politics, and enough twists and turns to leave your jaw hanging. And not only that, they're usually deep and always have a lesson attached to them.
Animation
Okay, let's not deny it. Part of the reason why we watch anime is because it simply looks amazing. Although they are in 2D format, sometimes they are drawn even better then the ones that are created in 3D. Those overly large eyes, those gravity defying hairstyles, those weirder than weird clothes; they're simply perfect and enough to make anyone keep coming back for more. The artistic amazement is just none stop however you look at it.  Watch Anime online at Voosee TV

Monster - One Of The Best Manga Anime Trillers

Monster (manga)Image via Wikipedia
Monster (Monsuta) is a seinen manga written and illustrated by Naoki Urasawa, published by Shogakukan in Big Comic Original between 1994 and 2001, and reprinted in 18 tankobon volumes. It was adapted by Madhouse as a 74-episode anime TV series, which aired on NTV from April 7, 2004 to September 28, 2005. It was directed by Masayuki Kojima, written by Tatsuhiko Urahata and featured character designs by Kitaro Kosaka. The manga and anime have both been licensed by Viz Media for an English release. Urasawa later wrote and illustrated the novel Another Monster, a supplement story detailing the events from the manga as from an investigative reporter's point of view, published by Shogakukan in 2002.

Plot

The series follows Dr. Kenzo Tenma (Tenma Kenzo) as he pursues a young psychopath/sociopath named Johan, whose life Tenma once saved. The story rapidly progresses through a number of locations: it starts in Düsseldorf, Germany, passes through Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Wiesbaden, cities in the Czech Republic such as Prague, and other cities and villages.

Both the anime and the manga begin with a passage from The Revelation of St. John the Divine, Chapter 13: Verses 1 & 4

And I saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads, the names of blasphemy. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, "Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?"

The quote is often interpreted as the coming of the Antichrist. This quote is used because of the many parallels and comparisons between one of the main characters of Monster (Johan) and two candidates of the Antichrist as predicted by Nostradamus.

Dr. Kenzo Tenma is a young Japanese doctor working at the Eisler Memorial Hospital in Düsseldorf during the 80s. A highly accomplished brain surgeon, he appears to have everything on his plate: a promotion in the offing; the favor of the director of the hospital Heinemann; and Heinemann's daughter Eva as his fiancée. However, Tenma grows increasingly dissatisfied with the political bias of the hospital for treating patients, and seizes his chance to change things after a strange massacre brings the twins Johan and Anna Liebert into his hospital. Johan has a gunshot wound to the head and Anna keeps muttering about killing, and Tenma decides to operate on Johan instead of the mayor of Düsseldorf who arrived afterwards. Johan is saved, but Mayor Roedecker dies. Tenma loses all his social standing and Eva as a consequence. However, Director Heinemann and the other doctors in Tenma's way are mysteriously murdered, and both children disappear from the hospital soon after. The police suspect Tenma, as he benefits greatly from this turn of events, but they have no evidence, and so can do no more than question him.

At this point, the story advances to nine years later. Tenma is now the Chief of Surgery at Eisler Memorial Hospital. However, he is about to come face to face with a sociopath - a sociopath that he helped save.

A known criminal named Adolf Junkers is found on the street, hit by a car. He comes under the care of Dr. Tenma, who observes him muttering about a "monster". Tenma extends kindness to Junkers, and thus Junkers begins to open up for Tenma. Then one evening when Dr. Tenma comes back with a clock as a gift for Junkers, he finds the guard in front of Junkers's room dead, and Junkers himself gone.

Following the trail to the construction site of a half finished building near the hospital, Tenma finds Junkers being held at gunpoint. The man, who has developed a sort of doctor-patient friendship with Dr. Tenma, warns him against coming closer, and pleads with him to run away. Tenma refuses, however, and the man holding the gun pointed at Junkers is revealed to be the boy whose life Tenma had saved nine years ago - Johan Liebert. Despite Dr. Tenma's attempt to reason with him, Johan shoots the criminal, tells Tenma that he could never kill the man who had saved his life, and then walks off into the night while Tenma is still too shocked to stop him.

After this incident, Tenma is again suspected by the police, particularly Inspector Runge, and he tries to find more information about this 'Johan'. He soon discovers that the boy's sister, now named Nina, happily living the life of an adopted daughter to two caring parents, and the only trace of her terrible past are few dreams she has had. Tenma discovers her on her birthday, and manages to prevent her from meeting her brother, but comes too late to prevent Johan from murdering her foster parents. As the story progresses, Tenma learns of the origins of this monster, from the former East Germany's attempt to use a secret orphanage called 511 Kinderheim (where Johan came from) in order to create the "perfect soldiers" through "psychological reprogramming", to the author of a children's book which was used in a eugenics experiment in Czech Republic. He also learns about the scope of the atrocities this "Monster" has committed, and he vows to fix the mistake he made when he saved Johan's life.

While Tenma is the main character of Monster, the story also focuses heavily on those surrounding his search for Johan, such as Inspector Runge (who is investigating Johan's various murders but pins them all on Tenma), Eva Heinemann (Tenma's former fiancé), Nina Fortner (aka Anna Liebert, Johan's twin sister), Dieter (A Orphan Tenma saved), and a host of other characters, minor and major, whose lives have been shaped by the deeds of the monster named 'Johan'.

Watch Anime Free

An anime stylized eye.Image via Wikipedia
Anime is the word used to describe Japanese animated movies, as it is the word in Japanese for animation. In 1917, Japanese animation first came into being but, the anime styles that we see today did not arrive until the 1960s. In the 1980s anime was introduced to the outside world. The audience for anime in Japan is huge and the distributors are not restricted as to their distribution and are permitted to distribute anime to television, video, theatre and the Internet. East and Southeast Asia were the first to watch anime online and recently it has gained popularity in the West where you can now watch free anime online..
Many people see anime as an art form as the visual styles of anime vary from artist to artist and from studio to studio. Some of the styles are wild and exaggerated while others take a more realistic approach. Modern anime does not share an art style, as there are different styles used in anime. In spite of the obvious difference in styles people see all of the styles as anime. The most common characteristics of anime are specific features such as large eyes, big hair and short or elongated legs. Japanese calligraphy and painting has a strong influence in anime.
The proportions of the character's bodies come directly from the human body. Whether the character's body is small or elongated it is always proportionate. Some of the anime characters have taken on the look of the western cartoon characters where certain body parts are increased.
Anime films and series can we watched online free of any cost. The films and series anime come in many genres: romance, martial arts, sci fi, mystery, comedy, fantasy, action or supernatural. You can also find anime that is either subtitled or dubbed into English. Whatever kind of film or series entertains you, can be had with free anime online.
Anime fans that watch anime online are not like the western cartoon fans, as the anime fans are more involved with the characters, especially with the series characters, as their journeys and adventures keep evolving. The anime fan is reminiscent of the American soap opera fans. Although the fans are aware that the characters are not real, nor do they depict real characters, their journeys and adventures appear to be real and feel real. Watching anime online brings the fan closer to the characters than watching a character on television.
The Discovery Channel's parent company has partnered with The Hasbro Toy Company to introduce a new network called "The Hub". It was announced that the American premier of an anima production entitled Deltora Quest will be shown on the new network. Deltora Quest is an anime fantasy series. There are fifty two episodes in the series, which are based on the novels of the Australian writer Emily Rodda.
Anime films and series are not restricted to any age group. Anyone can watch anime. However, whether you are planning on watching an American western cartoon or an anime film or series, it is always good to know that parental guidance is involved. There are anime films and series that are of an adult nature and would definitely not be for the younger viewer. Just as the western cartoon has some violence, so does anime and it is up to the parents to glean the anime they want their children to watch.

Dragonball Z

Dragon Ball: Music CollectionImage via Wikipedia
The last few years i have been watching a lot of Hayoa Miyazaki movies like Porco Rosso, Kiki's Delivery Service and My Neighbour Totoro and they are great and remain some of my favourite anime. I just wanted to wright this review on Dragonball Z because after watching just over 100 episodes (from the start) i am totally blown away by how epic and powerful the whole thing is. I needed this kind of thing after watching the gently paced and mega friendly movies above. Dragonball Z has so much going for it. The characters are brilliant and numerous and they are all used perfectly. The villains are super evil, check out frieza in his final form, and the story is unbelievably epic (especially if you have watched all of dragonball, which i recently have). The most noticable element of Dragonball Z, though, are the battles. Now i'm watching the original jap version and i've never seen anything like it, in a good way. I love the way the big battles last 30 episodes and the OTT fighting is genius. I don't know why people slag them of. This is animation! Actors can't do this sort of stuff so why not take advantage. It's so exhilararating. Like in the saiyan saga when Vegeta (a terrific character) is hit by the Ki bomb and sent flying into into oblivion, only to fall back down to earth, completely battered and angered, then launching a massive energy blast in all directions, utterly destroying the surrounding area. Thats just one of my favourite moments so far. Since ive only seen a third of Dragonball Z, im not going to give this a strict rating. Anime fans who have'nt seen it should definetly do so, and people who have'nt seen the jap version should watch it. I've seen a few of the dubbed and cut versions on sky and they don't capture the same intensity of the original. The ending theme of the original is really good, too. Mind you, who am i to talk, i've only just started watching it and i can't wait to continue. Long live Dragonball......
